My Experiences

Currently an academic Professor in Ankara University School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine and founder of Migrant Health Practices in Ankara since 1999 and in Istanbul since 2013 besides a family practice in Ankara.

Past President of World Organization of Family Doctors European Region (WONCA Europe), President 2019-2021.

 

 

Past President of the European General Practice Research Network, EGRPN (2016-2019).
 

 

One of the seven founders and former presidents of the Turkish Association of Family Physicians which is now 33 years old.

Temporary “technical expert” in World Health Organization (WHO) Europe on Primary Care.

International Advisory Board member for EU Navigate, an intercontinental, interdisciplinary and intersectoral research project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, with grant agreement no. 101057361 (2022-2027).

A preferred family physician of the embassies and foreign missions including the United States of America (USA), United Kingdom (UK), Sweden, United Nations (UN), International Organization of Migration (IOM), International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC).

An authorized doctor to conduct the migrant health screenings for the USA, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

A board member of Migrant Health Doctors Organization-IPPA.

A board member of TAHYK - Turkish Board of Family Medicine, (2014-continuing).
